LTspice is good and there are valve libraries too. Though it's ADI now.
The last LTspice I downloaded didn't work on XP, needed Win7 or higher, though amazingly it's fine on WINE (no VM needed) on Linux. My old XP models worked.
I've downloaded it anyway, though I've pretty much given up Electronics in favour of writing. Maybe I'll change my mind in the summer.

I use the win7 version on WINE on Linux Mint. I don't normally use XP at all. I haven't used XP for LT Spice or CAD/CAE for about four years. I used LTspice for very many years.

Why should being part of ADI be an issue?

I was only pointing out that LT is gone. It's ADI. I know 3 people that work in ADI. Two in the ADI location 6 km from me.
