I've had the current incarnation of the uTracer for years.
Whilst testing is done with pulses, the heater is brought up to temperature prior to that. It's incredibly accurate.
Remember that Ronald is a professor of electronics (at TUe) and a Philips researcher - he really knows his stuff. All his uTracer rationale and lab notes are on his site.
