My DSO 150 has arrived and I have built it. I was wrong about version 1 being an early version. It is the version of the kit where all the smd stuff is already soldered to the boards so there's not much to build. My DSO 138 kit came with just one SMD mounted. I think the kit is up to date as it uses the 062 firmware. There is a suggestion on the web that the first version of 062 had an error. I have had some trouble setting it up particularly C5. There is a bit on the web about this including the use of a twisted wire cap suggested by JYE. I've tried this but it made little difference. There is now a new firmware update 064. I will install this as it suggests it will solve one of my problems. This can be done with a similar setup/equipment to that used to up date the DSO138 firmware. I still think this is an interesting buy for £10.20 even if it has not got a lot of functionality.
