Hi.
While I agree that WD40 is a very useful product I'd be wary of it in some situations, WD is a mix of oil and solvent, the solvent has been known to strip print from components and the coloured bands from some makes of resistors, best to test on an inconspicuous area firstly.
If you cant get a diagram Mike it might be best to reverse engineer a diagram yourself.
