An amazing-looking 'scope: I look forward to seeing 'photos of the insides. It's quite clear that the design attempted to incorporate every feature possible into an oscilloscope and from what I can see, it must have cost a fortune. That would match certain tell-tale signs which imply it was made for military use. I can only surmise that this 'scope represented the pinnacle of test equipment for its time: 1951.
The controls labelled 'velocity' made me smile, but 'probe selector' and especially the 'flyback' control produced a puzzled look on my face.
All-in-all a fascinating item and well-worth preserving as a museum piece. The fact that it works as well (after all this time) is not only a tribute to its design and build, but also a bonus! An excellent find - hope it didn't cost too much!
