Actually, I'd forgotten. The founders of Supersonic came from or worked in what is now Zambia (and were even involved in the Ever Ready Saucepan development 1948-49), but later the main office was actually in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe.
"Later the company uses "Supersonic" as a brand and is Chassay Bros. (Private) Ltd. in Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia (SR) and produces Transistor sets.
Today (2012) there is still a "Supersonic Radio" at 69 Josiah Chinamano Rd, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe."
Actually they are on Facebook!
There still is a Supersonic Radio Manufacturing in Zimbabwe

Though they may be just retailers now, like the Dublin company (Brownlee) that made Pilot designed Radios (that didn't match UK models) in 1950s but by 1970s only retail.
So very likely the KB KR016 was assembled in a Supersonic "factory", as the speaker has their stamp.
