I must say that you're brave to SMT stuff, but if you fancied the practice then why not? Most of it would be OK, but IIRC the microprocessor is fairly dense. Mine is at work, so I can't look at it right now.
Yes, I'm pretty sure that Banggood is selling the genuine article.
I'm interested in your comments re. the latest firmware. If it's now available, I'd be interesting in upgrading mine. I'm a bit busy to look right now, but if you have a link to the download, I'd be grateful.
For the money, these are great little units
