Hello All
This is my first post here. Can I say I'm glad to join you all. I also bought one of these kits a while ago. Mine was also from Banggood. I did not know anything about fake kits until I looked at the JYE website. There was quite at bit of info there. After I compared the pictures of the pcb with the one I had I was fairly sure mine was not a fake. I got the kit where you had to solder some sm components. I did this as I had little experience with smds and I thought this would give me some practice. I thought the kit was good value for the money though it did take a while to come. There is some noise on the trace though I've read the later version with the revised code is better. A first JYE would not release the new code to those who had built the earlier kit as they felt it would aid those that were faking the kits. I think it has now been released so with a change of a resitor and the code update you can improve the noise on the trace. I have not tried this. If you get the new kit you won't get the problem. I have now made a number of kits from Banggood and found them value for money. Some come with very little info but the DSO138 was good in this respect.
Regards,
Ken.
