I used to work for a company called 'Inserv' that repaired and calibrated all kinds of electronic equipment, and in my time there I repaired plenty of the old Telequipment scopes.
To be honest they were built like tanks and seemed to be amazingly reliable. The crt's always seemed to stay bright and crisp and as you say, even now they are very useable for general stuff.
Glad to see tour old beastie still works properly with just a couple of components being replaced.
Most valve equipment of this age will drift a bit for the first hour while things warm up and settle.
