Regarding frame rates... If you use the default YUY2 format then the frame rate drops to 5fps at 1600x1200. HOWEVER... change it to MJPG (in the Options... Video Capture Pin menu) and the frame rate remains at 30fps. I've been using this with no noticeable loss of quality and I can now get a huge image in "real time" (it does refresh at 30fps).
