There might be more info out there on it David, I posted the ones that stuck out.
I bought a DDS VFO a while back, that only had one tact switch, it selects the menu, parameters are entered using the push function on the rotary encoder and by rotating the rotary encoder itself. Eg: IF offset, step, max/min frequency etc
