I buy that sort of stuff from Farnell - crimp connectors are critical, and it's not worth taking chances. The crimp tools are about a tenner, the connectors are cheapest in boxes of 100, and for about a tenner there's a tool that'll strip the wire for you.

I could probably post you a couple of spare connectors if you like...
