Those are pretty good meters.
The amps ranges are both on separate sockets.
It helps to reduce the risk of blowing the fuse if you overshoot with the switch.
I did it with a Maplin one a couple of times and it took ages for me to get round to changing the fuse. It had to wait for the battery to go flat last time.
