It's been 2 years or more for the Mk2 to be used for testing valves. Rob has the same tester as this one. We test valves and send them to each other, to see if we had the same readings and all was ok.
Last week, out came the mk2. I had time on my hands, so off came the casing and I started testing the 3 capacitors. The 2- 0.5 caps were shot and one had never been soldered on at one end, from the tester being new. I replaced them with 0.68 caps. The 8UF cap reformed & was ok.
The EA50 internal valve was ok. I'm still working on it.
