'Nowt to do with veneering but years ago I made a small box out of some ash wood, I intended to paint a flower design on it then varnish and polish it up.
In the end I found some pressed wild flowers and small leaves I put in an old book for pressing that we had done years before, I gave the box a quick coat of varnish and pressed the flowers and leaves into it and let it dry off, I think I gave it around another six coats then polished it up, it looked the real deal.
