I recall the lamps were down the sides of the Venner counter/timer displays in a staggered formation. If you lost a digit, a quick 'bang' on the top of the case usually restored it, but sometimes lost another. The repair process inviled taking out all the bulbs and adding some solder to the 'pip'. Thr bulbs were not threaded.
I found a web site showing the Venner electronic modules. The display is different, but the modules are the same. We had some of these later counter/timers too, but the 'zero' drifted and had to be adjusted on a regular basis. This display was irritating to watch if you were trying to take measurements as it 'jiggled' about when counting, then reset to all zeroes before taking the next sample.
Thankfully, we invested in a Solartron counter/timer which used nixie tubes and had a much better spec. too. It's (sort of) coming back to me after nearly 45 years.
