Thanks gents.
Al, thanks for the info. This magic eye is wired with no connection on pin5 (per valve base)
The results of the tests so far.
Transformer continuity OK.
Valve heaters continuity OK.
The two big grey capacitors are 1) the largest, at centre, 4uF at 450/500v working. Reads 11.32uF 2) one near transformer, 4uF at 250v WKG. Reads 29.76uF.
The silver TCC 'Metalpack' 0.5uF at 500v WKG looks like it's died with reading of 0.1pF. It is floating however so maybe a confusing in-circuit reading for my Peak LCR meter.
The two smaller block capacitors; silver one at 1uF and the black one 0.01uF read spot on.
All the resistors I can reach, there's a big orange one tucked under the transformer, read within tolerance.
I'm unfamiliar with the grey oil filled type of capacitors I'm afraid, I've not really come across them before. Could I use an electrolytic here as these have such out of specification readings.
I should add, this came with a 'Clix' round two-pin plug fitted so probably hasn't seen power for ages.
Thanks _ Andrew
