I've just read and spotted your thread on the VRF here:

You've obviously crawled all over the SG, fixing many faults, including the well known inductor issue, but to no avail, so my generalised comments above will be of no help at all. Can't help feeling that eventually, if the fault is traced, it will be by use of a scope and voltage checks. Rather a pity than no-one else seems to have suffered the same symptoms with the 2002B and traced and cured the fault.
