Although there are several unusual (and unwelcome) things going on in my life at the moment which are demanding my attention and time, now and again the odd occasion does arise whereby I am waiting for someone / something to progress a matter that is 'W-I-P'. For me, that is the situation right now. So I have seized a few such odd moments to try to complete a repair on a Marconi TF2002B sig. gen. which I began work on before my life went a bit hectic.
O.K. - so much for the introductory stuff: now for the nitty-gritty.
This S.G. has a number of well-documented faults and my unit had most of them. All of those well-known faults have now been fixed. However, one irritating fault (and apparently not a 'commonly known fault') remains in the crystal calibrator section: basically the 100 kHz divider doesn't work. I've been trying to recruit some assistance with this on the UKVRRR Forum, but to date nothing received. So, on the basis that there are some members here who may not be members of that aforesaid and popular forum, I'm simply putting out this shout for assistance if anyone has 'been there' and met that described fault condition. Me? I've simply run out of ideas and diagnostic approaches.
Oh and yes, I do have the manual.
All comments will be gratefully received and duly acknowledged.
Cheers,
