One step forward. After sorting out some more wiring issues on the -18v rail the thing now sweeps in auto mode. It still won't trigger on the input signal itself so more work to do. Still, it's nice to see a trace on the screen after twenty or so years!

I added a shot of my second scope - it's not bad but I prefer the knobs and switches to the 'computer user interface' If I get the old one going properly it will have pride of place on the bench.
