Goodness Rob i remember knocking up a CRT re-activator/killer there sure were a lot of flashes as the cathode was stripped, sometimes the tube could not stand it and it ended in re-tube, like your wand/ weller soldering gun. I have a Weller Solder gun still and one made by Hilka....regards...Alan.
