This is the Multimonor that I bought on eBay recently for the princely sum of £1.20 plus £5 Postage. There are/were a couple of oddities. First it was 'housed in the original wooden case' which as far as I know is nonesense. Second the 'white' ones - they're always a sort of mucky cream - usually command a premium. Anyway, for £6.20 who's complaining?
It arrived nicely packed, and there were a couple of surprises. First the box is very nicely made, much better than the original picture implied. For example the corners are not simply butt jointed as I first thought, and the sliding lid is shaped so that when it's closed there's a nice symetrical lip all round. Second I assumed that the meter was held into the box by the brass screw visible in the back. Although that turned out to be true the back case of the meter had been abandoned and replaced by a shaped area in which it fits perfectly.
I'll continue in another Post to avoid this one getting too long .........
