Errr. I've saved it for future reference.
There's a comprehensive design on the VRF and Ed is/was winding suitable transformers.
I do have an American one I got shipped over which I hope to get to this coming Winter. So far I've mended the Meter - loose glass - removed the dodgy extension sockets, sprayed everything in sight with Switch cleaner, bought spare valves and cleaned up the panel as far as is reasonable.
I'm not sure about a DIY Tester. I can't justify the prices paid for the Classic UK Testers, although I'd like one. However, I do like the idea of preserving old ones, even if they're American.
