All my kit is now at the house in Hungary so I can't do photos of the 'scope traces but the trouble could well be down to the power supply. If I recall correctly it still has a selenium rectifier. I would prefer to use a silicon bridge rectifier but would I need to include a dropping resistor to compensate for it's better efficiency?
