Distortion of the high-freq. wave: "The harmonics can be used for the higher freqs." I had a Heathkit RF-1U years ago that produced a distorted wave (before I re-engineered it to get rid of the distortion) - and that comment was there, in the manual, IIRC.
Seems to me that it is just another dubious marketing ploy: "if you've a problem that you can't resolve . . . turn it into a 'feature'! "
