The Scart does work for input and output. DVD playback is very sharp on the mono CRT. The next model used an LCD.
So though the digital modes are useless, it works as a spectrum analyser from 42 - 862 and 900 to 2100 MHz, and most Analogue RF TV standards. You can switch off the level / OSD by selecting "AGC" and have just the video (with audio). Also does AM or FM with out TV on any frequency, so FM Radio or Air band, Amateur, Marine and PMR446.
