I found a negative in a recycled envelope in my box of photos, the envelope has a 3d stamp on it dated 6 APR 1960. The photo shows the cracks which appeared near the doors in the prototype EE Deltic. Dad who worked for EE in the mechanical engineering laboratory was asked to investigate what had caused the problem and supply a solution. He said he'd never been subject to such loud noise as when he was travelling in the engine bay during testing.
This other picture shows an office scene at EE, here some engineers are working on a nuclear power reactor design. I think the man sat down is my Dad's friend 'uncle' Bernard.
