I've just spent a most interesting few minutes, sneaked from my duties as doting grandfather on Christmas morning, to have a quick roam around your excellent website Richard. What a wonderful piece of kit that sweep genny is, and the 'clamshell' vintage Tek scope. It must have been a constant battle between the designers and the accountants to end up with a top class product which didn't have its performance or construction compromised by cutting corners and saving the odd cent here or there!

Hello Yorkie and greeting of the season to you!
The Dubrow is a fascinating piece and seems to be well appreciated by my fellow vintage electronics anoraks. As you will have read, my fascination with it initially killed it, I was so pleased to recognise the very tatty USM-32 on eBay, realsing the the power transformer would do the job handsomely!
On accountants and Tek, part of what I am saying is that in that era, engineers were respected and worthy of such respect, I doubt they had the battles with the bean counters and "marketing" men that I knew...

Hi Alan.
Yes, maybe I will do a video on the TS-452, thanks for the suggestion!
On the 547s, I seem to keep bouncing off them, I simply can't raise the same level of enthusiasm that I have for the earlier kit. They both work but not with any reliability. The nicest Tek - by far - that have is in fact the 535. I have a 511A coming, that will take me very close to the beginning.

Forum member Kevin Hoyland is a keen collector of test gear, and has quite a lot of items from the US - capacitor testers etc, so when he catches up with your post Richard, I'm sure he'll want to have a roam around your excellent website!

Thanks Rob. Actually, it is an AC90, it has an auto-transformer not a resistor. Really nice!
