Interesting Pre-war Magazines.

Hi.
I have had these magazines for a number of years, I have 6 of them out of 16 or thereabouts. They are literally mint condition and I really think they have never been looked at.
There is articles on the 180 line Fernseh system, Scophony, etc.

Blimey Peter.
They seem to fetch good money with the full edition.
I have no idea where I got the six I have but the condition always made me think they were unused.
Certainly an good read of how it was done back then.

Hi Trevor, The articles about the Scophony mechanical TV system are well worth swotting up on.
I have the book about the story of the Scophony system and it's a good read.

Triggered by Trevor's thread I had a look through Television Today and came across an article reporting progress at RCA. At this time they were using 240 lines non-interlaced and their source of synchronising pulses was mechanical and similar to the source that the BBC later introduced to avoid criticism from Scophony to satisfy the needs of supporting systems with mechanical inertia.
