If the neutral pole of the mains switch is open circuit in the on position (eg dirty contacts etc) or the neutral connection between the mains plug and the chassis connection has gone open circuit or high resistance for whatever reason then it is possible that the chassis could be potentially lethally live when the set is plugged into the mains and switched on even if one of the valves has an open circuit heater.

The two 100r sections were open circuit and the 300r section is open too do not know why both sections had failures due to heat probably I will have to order a 300r and try my luck with that .switch working ok .

I have now squired a dropper which may be suitable for the 750r it is a radio spares type r3 which has 430 r 200r 180r trappings would I be able to use this if I can work out how to resist it down a bit
