Right, small lathe and a set of taps & dies it is then! If I manage to find one at an affordable price can we start a 'vintage turners' section in the forum? I'll need a lot of help - haven't touched a lathe (or tapped a thread) since my apprentice days. What are the recommendations for max chuck size, bed length, etc?
Mystery PYE cab now has a number of brushed coats of shellac and I'm messing around with various finishing techniques. Holidays means I will not have time for a few weeks but hope to have it done by end Sept.
