Ekco AD65 chrome bars sizes

Are the 3 chrome bars on the black AD65 the same size as the 3 bakelite bars on the brown AD65? If not what size are they? Any one know where best place is to buy brass bar to make them? John.

I haven't a clue what size they are John, but I would have thought that the black and brown AD65s would be identical, albeit that's just an assumption. As to the brass bar, do you know what size and section the bar needs to be? IE, is it round, square, flat, 'D' shaped? You'd have to get it chromed when cut and bent, and maybe you might want to consider stainless steel as an alternative, which would stay bright, and would work our far cheaper than using brass and getting it plated. (Do you know what the original bars were made of - I'm not sure they were brass).

Hi, The bakelite bars on my brown set are tapered in width front to back approx 4.6mm rear x3.5mm front, x 13mm deep. I would have thought the chrome bars on the black sets would not be taperd can any one tell me what size they should be? Thanks John.
