Kodak ESP C110 printer scanner

Hi Gents, has anyone any tips or tricks for getting this device to operate again. It is giving me a "clear all paper2 message even when there is no paper in the machine and no sign of any scraps in there.
It is a few years old but has not had a lot of use. It appears to use a lot of ink and colour is always "washed out" even with new ink cartridges.

All suggestions welcome for a good reliable replacement also welcome.

Personally, I love Canon . I have a MG6450 3 in, cost me less than £50 new. All functions, wifi & usb, 2 side printing. Still on sale in many places and similar models.

Works beautifully, I can leave it for 4 months and the ink doesn't dry out or block the head. 5 separate ink cartridges, economic on ink. In 3 years its never missed a beat.
I can buy five sets of the 5 cartridges for less than £9 on the ebay, that's 25 cartridges, they work just like the Canon ones.

Highly recommended.
