An AC/DC set with MW and LW.

This was the second DAC90a I did. I got it cheap on e-Bay and had the idea of doing it up and selling it. However it liked it here and it made sure that I spent any possible profit on getting it working!

It had the usual re-cap and, just for fun, I re-stuffed the old ones. The speaker bellows needed re-glueing but I then found that the UL41 output valve was leaking (though not as badly as the first replacement I bought for it!) and the smoothing capacitors were shot. Besides that the dial is so dirty that there's no way it will come clean without fetching the paint off. I'll make a replica one day.

I'm pleased to have it and learnt a lot from it.
