Two things in this ad. that caught my eye:

(1) The stylised fingers: to me, they convey the idea of the 'delicate touch'.
That wouldn't be a lady's hand, would it?
(2) The classic Marconi 'calibrated knob' - such a distinguishing and eye-catching feature of Marconi test gear of this vintage.
