Does anyone know where I can buy a small quantity of Wood's metal from? The only suppliers in the UK I can find sell it in something like 1KG billets and I only need a piece about the size of a sugar lump, there are some USA suppliers but the postage doubles the price.

Thanks

I got this in the mail yesterday. It's a shame the doc is in black and white but hopefully it gives you an idea of the designs that are available and the sizes. I may invest $10 and get the sample pack just to be sure of the colours. If I do I'll post some photos.

Cheers, John

Supplier of Brass Slotted BA Grub Screws

Most commonly available grub screws tend to be steel, with allen key heads, but personally, for radio knobs I prefer brass slotted head ones. I've just ordered these, which I think are quite reasonably priced and thought that this supplier might interest others:

4BA x 1/4 Brass Slot Grub Screw Radius Point c/t Pack 50 £3.10 GBP
(Item Number 41424166)

6BA x 1/8 Brass Slot Grub Screw Radius Point c/t Pack 50 £2.80 GBP
(Item Number 61824166)

Subtotal £5.90 GBP
Postage & pack £4.00 GBP
Tax £1.18 GBP
Total £11.08 GBP

So, even with P&P, 11p each for brass grub screws won't break the bank.

They supply all sorts of screws, nuts, bolts washers in BA and other sizes.
