My guesses. Looks like they bung enough LEDs in series to get to mains voltage. Inverse parallel or a bridge to make it work on both half cycles. They are nowhere near constant voltage devices so effective resistance of all those LEDs high enough to set the current.
Don't seem to be available in greater than 60W GLS equivalent.
I've been to restaurants and other places where they have bought one of just about every type of LED string bulb and put them all in fittings. A bit mad but not too bad.
