I know next to nothing about clocks so any insight welcome.
This french clock has turned up. The movement is marked "Hersant 1869 Paris". The striking mechanism works if you wind the hands forward. The clock itself ticks for about 15 seconds if you nudge the pendulum, then stops. It's fully wound. I've got the winding key.

Personally I think it's hideous but it's not technically mine to dispose of. Though I suspect it will be disposed of soon. Is it of any value?
