Golborne Vintage Radio

I purchased a VM79 despite not finding a service manual beforehand. i am now struggling and found a thread on here which ended in 2014 looking at the same problem. the ending was not definitive and i wondered whether a manual had been found and whether a clear replacement solution was found to the obsolete batteries.

Reading the thread it's clear that a manual has been found. Batteries seem a bit inconclusive.
