Anyone found a way of masking areas from French Polish?  Normal Auto masking tape just curls up at a sniff of it.

Not something I have tried, even with my art, but I have some art masking fluid which is a sort of rubber based brush on for paintings. It's probably time I experimented!

Somewhat doubt it would work with shellac but worth a try.

I can report that Humbrol Maskol (latex rubber solution) worked well in a quick test.

Not actually tried them on French polish, but both Mylar and Kapton tapes generally seem willing to peel off many surfaces nicely.

The Maskol is good for detailed and intricate area as it can be applied with artists brushes.
