Maybe the thread title should read 'With what can a faulty motor switch be replaced?' One has broken apart and isn't repairable. I may have somewhere a BSR motor switch, if it will fit a Garrard deck, but would a standard lever-operated microswitch be a suitable replacement?
If you can fabricate a good means of mounting it so the lever is operated then I see no reason why not.

I don't actually have the deck here, Mike. It belongs to a member of UKVRRR, to whom I'll be sending an Autoslim motor. He informed me that the switch on his deck broke apart, so I can only suggest that he either try a BSR Deck Switch or a suitable microswitch.
