Quite a few cheap cordless polishers around and I wondered if they would be any good for polishing up, with say PO No 5, dull Bakelite cabinets?


Seems most of the low cost one are rotary whereas I would have thought random orbital would have been safer.

The orbital ones are the best Gary.
I borrowed one from a car valeter a few years back and the result on a flat surface was wonderful. Difficult though on complex surfaces and don't get over zealous or you'll loose the surface finish.
