Interesting set. If you're a member of Radiomuseum, they've got a circuit on there...

Otherwise, if you don't mind paying, try here...

From memory (and I saw a couple of these through the workshop) they use completely standard Finlux style circuitry, it's the box that's odd, not the electronics.. Like the TX90 portables I have fixed a couple of these without the manuals.. Stock friends?.. all the usual suspects, plus some surprises around the plugs and sockets. If you can handle an 8500 with chroma dropout and no books (remember that old fave Steve?) you can handle one of these no worries.
Really nice sets when working

If I remember rightly this is the set with the nasty 3rd harmonic tuning cap hidden down behind the lopt.. and on one we had fun finding it (thats why the set sticks in my memory) don't even try it without replacing the **** because if it's short it can knock over the transformer.
I'm sure there was a Television article back in the mid 70's on these, but theres really not that much unusual inside.. I used to get these kinds of sets chucked at me as an apprentice, along with a whole warehouse of vc53's (loved them) and the dregs of our colour rentals.. the "last legs" ones.. fix and sell £20. I did my apprentice stuff in a dying trade.. I finished when the shop closed, by which time there were no shops like us left. Rather pointless couple of years learning a dead trade. There must have been people starting in the textile mills at the same time who had the same experience.. It's hard to realise how manufacturing and skilled trades were decimated in the 80's unless you had just left school and were looking for a career in anything but "casual labour" service industries.. That opportunity was denied to my generation. Now I'm our town valve guitar amp guru, and old computer last chance saloon.. but not for much longer.......
I spoke to my friend I mentioned, and he looked a little sick when I told him roughly how much a Ultra branded 24" 3500 with a good tube is worth these days.. He only slung it out a couple of years ago because it had no a/v inputs.. It was working fine!!! some people eh?

Hi ive undressed the set today it was full of crud which i removed with a paint brush
I located two caps at the rear that were acting as mains filters and replaced them with uptodate caps i also replaced the mains lead and gave it the variac in 50v increments at 200v the screen lit up very bright turning down the brightnes made little diffrence . just to see if there was any life in the signal stages i hooked the set up to my band one signal this produced a picture of sorts so i got a video recorder out and connected up to the uhf sockets but could only tune in a snowy type of mess . This then dissapered and i couldnt get any signals through the set on eather uhf or vhf i know have an if problem to sort . i shall now need to get a diagram before procceding so for now i have boxed the set and will resume soon. as i have another horror to restore watch this place. I shall look through some seventies television mags to see if i can find more info. Thanks Danny
