If the sound is OK, go for the video stages. If not, the IF and RF stages. If the brightness is too high and won't come down, then it could be the video stages.

You've got a complete raster there, so it's nothing that can't be fixed. I hope. Many smaller voltages sometimes come from the LOPT of course... I don't know if that's the case in this set though.

Hi sorry was my fault should have explained it is the camera ! . The fault is definately in the signal stages. I think it will turn out to be in the early stages of the ifs maybe even an agc fault. the brightness level is high but when i had signals on vhf it was normal . i must get a diagram as the two faults could be linked. If it was a colour set i would go for beam limiting. So if an agc feed from the lopt was missing then this could be the problem (just a guess) thanks Danny
