I've had this DDS board for a while but it was tricky to use with a display and buttons wired to it via an Arduino Board, yesterday I found it could be easily controlled by an esp8266 giving it a WiFi browser interface on my phone. The counter and reference disagree by few Hz.
The DDS module has an ad9850 on an Arduino shield, it came from a radio rally a couple of years ago. the WiFi board is a Wemos mini.
The DDS and WiFi boards cost a few pounds each, I adapted the software to suit. Photo shows them wired together generating 45Mhz David
